Our Mission

My approach to tutoring goes beyond just helping with the right answer — I teach students how to think, solve, and succeed on their own. I specialize in repeatable, step-by-step instruction that helps students understand what they’re doing, not just memorize it. That means they leave each session with real strategies they can use again and again — during homework, tests, and even when no one is there to help. Whether we’re working on fractions, word problems, or math fluency, I always focus on building tools that stick. The result? Students grow more confident, independent, and ready to tackle new challenges on their own.

When I was in college and struggling with math, I didn’t have a tutor who was willing to repeat things or slow down. I needed more than one or two explanations to truly understand, I needed it broken down, step by step but I often felt uncomfortable asking for clarification. I worried that too many questions would upset the tutor, which made it harder for me to truly learn. That experience shaped the way I teach today — and it's why I'm so committed to teaching with patience, clarity, and encouragement. I make sure every student knows that questions are always welcome — and that learning happens best when they feel safe, supported, and never judged. I know how it feels to struggle with math — I’ve been there. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to make sure other students don’t have to feel that same frustration or confusion. I’ve lived it, and now I teach the way I wish someone had taught me.
